The architectural practice of Herriot + Melhuish: Architecture Ltd (HMA) was formed in 1997 by principals Max Herriot and John Melhuish. The company was incorporated under the Companies Act on 12 July 1997.

HMA is an innovative and design focused practice that has successfully worked on a variety of projects throughout New Zealand, including single residential and multi-unit developments, commercial building projects, art galleries and wineries.
