The Wright combines an upscale atmosphere with a sleek, modern, and comfortable venue comprising 58 seats and a communal table where guests can enjoy a full-service menu. A casual, European-style bar that features small plates, panini, espresso, and cocktails serves as a lively focal point of the space.

Though its name commemorates a 20th-century icon, the Wright embraces the cosmopolitan excitement of today’s New York. Designed in white by architect Andre Kikoski, who was inspired by the museum’s innovative design, the restaurant decor is contemporary and chic. A distinctive modern American menu created by David Bouley protégé Rodolfo Contreras emphasizes seasonal, local, and sustainable ingredients, appealing to the savvy palates of New Yorkers and discerning travelers from around the globe.

The 2010 James Beard Foundation Award for Outstanding Restaurant Design has been awarded to Andre Kikoski Architect for its design of the Guggenheim's fine-dining restaurant The Wright. The James Beard Foundation Awards are among the highest honors for food and beverage professionals working in America, and recognize superior achievement in categories ranging from Best Chef and Outstanding Restaurateur to Cookbook of the Year and Multimedia Food Feature. The awards were announced on May 3 during a ceremony at Lincoln Center in New York.
