In each room you are greeted by a montage of old photographs of Val d’Isère, revamped and infused with new life and colour, just like our hotel.
In the resort of Val d’Isère the old hotel sat watching the seasons go by, silently revelling in Val d’Isère’s rise to well-earned sporting fame but without finding a voice of its own. Still, with its privileged location in the very heart of Val d’Isère, its excellent views in both directions and its spacious interiors, the Ormelune had plenty to offer. The time had come to shed the trappings of the past, to catapult the Ormelune into the 21st century, to transform the old edifice into a surprising hotel full of punch and appeal. A total facelift and a complete change of look will have transformed the fusty old hotel into one of Val d’Isère’s best-loved addresses by the winter 2009/2010. The only thing you will find unchanged is the team’s hearty welcome!
