OBJETOdeDESEO®. The Cabinet of Curiosities of the 21st Century.
A new concept store: A Gallery for decoration objects.
Recently open, OBJETOdeDESEO® is a place exclusively focused on objects for
decoration.
Jorge Subietas, the owner, talks to us about OBJETOdeDESEO®’s philosophy:
- “ We have tried to fill a gap in the inner decoration shops. Until today, the
decorative objects were just part of the atrezzo on furniture and inner
decoration stores. We have taken them out of that context to magnify the
work hidden behind every single object”.
- “Our providers are some times well known designers, but we highly
apprecciate the work of unknown artisans as well. We bet for the hand made
pieces and the unique feeling of the “Arts & Crafts””.
OBJETOdeDESEO® handles only noble materials as:
- CLAY AND PORCELAINE.
- GLASS.
- WOOD.
- METAL.
Our objets are mainly contemporary, but we also sneak off-fairs searching for
vintage pieces and antiques. Our pieces come from more than 30 different countries all over the wold and our
aim is to have them exclusively, not only for the Barcelona area but also for Spain.
Most likely, you will only find these objects in OBJETOdeDESEO®.
For that reason, we choose objects coming from short series, handmade entirely or
hand finished.
Our selection is quite eclectic but we know the value of humorous pieces, shocking
or surprising, with an own character. We travel around the world to find them,
with the aim of bringing to Barcelona those objects one can only find in the main
capitals of the Design world like Paris, Milano, London, Berlin, New York or
Tokyo.

Our little gallery/shop on the 237 of Barcelona’s famous Balmes Street is already
known as one of the most unique places of the national and international interior
design world.
OBJETOdeDESEO® wants to grow and we are already planning an opening in
Madrid (Spain) and Zurich (Switzerland).
