Vince Power launched Liquidnation Bar and Music (a play on the financial term - liquidation) on the 25th of June. A live music bar “for the people”, Vince Power has created an environment which is accessible and affordable in this climate, a venue in which to enjoy oneself in these more trying times.

The design of this large space, holding over 300 people has been approached in a unique way. Designer Shaun Clarkson approached the University of the Arts in London and chose ten young students to design different areas of the bar. This design process has produced a space that has to be one of the most refreshing and innovative in London, bringing some of the Dalston aesthetic to West London.

One area of the bar for example sees ‘old skool’ cassette tapes stuck on the bar front, and records on the ceiling. Another is completely covered in kitsch London scene postcards and one in multi-coloured plastic coat hangers. There is even a garden shed on the first floor. With its smoking terrace Liquidnation will certainly restore the “edge” to West London, something that has been so diluted in recent years.
