The design of the Grand Hotel Central is reflected in the original architecture of the building, whose special distribution permits that all the rooms are exterior with a simple and logical layout.

The hotel has 147 large rooms distributed in 8 floors, each one 1.000 square metres. The focus is on a relaxing and tranquil atmosphere with dark colours and low lighting in the corridors. The rooms are a perfect combination of avant-garde design and cool ambience. The stylish bedrooms are generous in space and comfort and emphasize urban modernity through the use of cool, natural materials.

The foyer of the Grand Hotel Central is a space to recall the history of the building, a classical entrance that transports the visitors back to the 1920s, where the wrought iron lamps, the stone cornicing and flooring along with the bronze doors have all been conserved.

On the top floor of the hotel, you will find a spectacular roof terrace boasting fabulous views over the city you can practically do your sightseeing from the comfort of a sun lounger. The view takes in Santa María del Mar - a famous Catalan gothic church, the beach, the buildings of the Olympic Harbour and the zoo. It also incorporates perhaps the most spectacular pool in the centre of Barcelona where guests can sunbathe and relax in the “infinity” swimming pool, whose smooth surface blends with the rooftops of the neighbouring Born district and the sea. An urban oasis that invites you to relax after a hectic day yet in one of the most boisterous zones of the city.

Fitness Centre
For those who practise “healthy mind, healthy body”, on the 7th floor you can find the fitness Centre with the latest gym equipment, open from 6:30 a 21:00 h.

Other distinctive “spaces” in the Grand Hotel Central are the Library, with a unique selection of books on the city of Barcelona, the Business Centre and the conference rooms.
