Contemporan

On the northwest slope of Serra da Estrela, inside the Natural Park area, Casas da Lapa seduce by the brutal contrast between the wild grandiosity of the landscape and its cosy, warm and sophisticated atmosphere. The restoration of the old village house, dated back to 1812, has maintained the traditional building method and used the traditional materials of the region, such as granite and wood. But if structurally the goal was to preserve and respect the features of the mountain houses, on the inside the contemporary taste of the owners prevailed. The result mixes art and design in a combination of comfort and sophistication, welcomed in this landscape of cold nights where it feels so good to come back home.
