The "Caminhos de Santiago Hotel" is the result of a restoration project of the old
Hostel of Santiago do Cacém, which includes the development of a new contemporary architectural building that bind together, through an embedded articulation system, thus allowing a balanced dialogue as in form, as in time, guaranteeing the affirmation of each one of its present elements. The original building, of great architectural accuracy, now classified as a building of public interest, dates from the early Forties, being the 2nd oldest hostel of Portugal. The new structure is a bold project of contemporary architecture that gives place to a dialogue of different contemporaneousness, allowing, however, each one to be protagonist. The Hotel is placed on the top of a hill, in a densely leafy area, which green cover has preserved and strengthened, conferring it a certain air of mystery and of where it is possible to enjoy a flaring sight of the sea, of the castle and of the historical village of Santiago. Within a few kilometres from the heart of the Alentejo Coast, there is the sea, with its beautiful white sand beaches, that is an uninterruptedly extension throughout Tróia and Sines. Further along, the enclosures delimited by the cliffs invite to the privacy between the rocks and the tides of the Vicentina Coast. The "Caminhos de Santiago Hotel" is a place of mystery, it is a combination of past and present, it is a passage of a Saint Pilgrim... It is a place with history! Walk toward us. Take a break in History!...
